We are taking part in fairtrade fortnight which runs from 28th February – 7th March. During these two weeks the children have been learning about fairtrade through fun activities and lessons in class. Some classes have been making posters and looking at the fairtrade logo, other have been tasting fairtrade food and some have been making leaflets and writing poems. We think it is important that farmers who work hard to grow crops get a fair amount of money for their products.

We hope to see lots of children at the Fairtrade breakfast on Thursday 10th March from 8.15. It will cost 60p for all children to enjoy a healthy, fairtrade start to their day! :)

A big well done to all of the pupils in P5/6 and P7 who have been awarded with a special commendation for their fantastic entry in the RespectMe Anti-Bullying competition. The judges could not award them a prize for an individual category as they had put so much effort into every category. WELL DONE!!

Last term we were lucky to have a P4-7 football club along with an early morning wake up club which all of the children who took part enjoyed.

This term the Burns Club is starting up from  Tuesday 19th October from 3-4.45pm. The Burns choir is going to be rehearsing on a Thursday from 11-12pm. We are very lucky to have Mrs Jean Thompson back again to help with the choir. The Bridgeton Burns competition will be held in St Mungo’s Academy on Friday 3rd December (5pm-9pm approx.)
